WHAT ABOUT OUR EXISTING DOCUMENTS (Word, Excel, Emails etc..) FILED WITHIN FOLDERS/DIRECTORIES LOCATED ON OUR OWN SERVERS/COMPUTERS?
At Black Box we believe in keeping things simple. Our Black Box FileCenter and FileConvert software allows organisations to keep their existing folder structures intact. FileCenter will sit as a file manager above an organisations existing folder/directory structure, index/convert to PDF (where required) and make searchable a client’s existing documents in place i.e. they do NOT need to be imported or moved into a bespoke database or moved onto a specific hardware storage product. They can simply remain where they are! By utilising this approach clients can rest assured that if they wish to implement a different file management solution in the future they can do so without having to endure a potentially lengthy and costly export/import process to move their documents into a different system. A further benefit to this approach is that by clients using the “Add Cabinet” feature within FileCenter they can simply add folders/directories as they are created across an organisations network without tying up valuable Administrators time.
